Accessing Audiovisual items @ OU LIbraries

Image of a FIlm ProjectorThe AV collection is dispersed throughout all OU Libraries, including Hocken, and our online streaming services. It includes:

  • feature and short films - independent, arthouse, and blockbuster, in english and many other languages
  • documentaries
  • TV series

Many of the resources in the AV collection are listed in the catalogue, others are available within our multimedia and streaming video databases Kanopy, AVO, and eTV, but may not appear in LIbrary Search | Ketu results.

Viewing film and video in OU Libraries

Most Ōtepoti | Dunedin campus libraries have group study rooms equipped with Blu-Ray and DVD players, and flat-screen TVs with HDMI cables. In addition, the Central Library has combo VHS/DVD players for watching VCR video, and Hocken has viewing facilities for VCR video, DVD and Blu-Ray.

Each multimedia source will state specific terms and conditions relating to copying, sharing and playback in the terms of use, in the help section, or will be available from the webmaster.
