Chicago B (in-text Author-Date citation and a reference list) is one of two styles outlined in the Chicago Manual of Style.
It uses brief parenthetical citations within the text of the author’s last name and date of publication. These brief citations each correspond to more complete entries in a reference list at the end of your essay or paper.
