Project aim: To provide advice on the more automated management of qualitative health data within an online repository.

Project status: Advisory phase completed

Outcome: The 'Applied Research on Communication in Health' (ARCH) group, led by Dr Maria Stubbe, was given advice in three key areas:

  • metadata standards
  • business requirements
  • use case scenarios

This information will inform any technical requirements, guiding the ARCH team towards the best repository solution.

Researcher comments: "I would like to thank the library’s RSU team for the expert advice and technical tools/information they provided to us in the course of developing a sustainable design for the web-accessible multimedia health data repository we wish to create. Their input has already been invaluable for refining the ARCH Group’s current locally-based data management system, and will provide a firm foundation for the planned technical implementation and eventual migration of our data archive into a more readily accessible permanent repository" (Dr Maria Stubbe, Primary Health Care and General Practice).
