Videos can be linked or embedded (so they appear ready to play) in the LMS, and are useful as a teaching or discussion tool, or as a main feature in an online flipped classroom environment. Many have in-built editing features so that only a portion of the video may be played. Kanopy has academic videos, documentaries and cinema - including Hollywood blockbusters, and international Film Festival movies.
Carpe Diem is a programme created by Professor Gilly Salmon of the Open University, UK. Additional resources for the workshops can be found as ebooks from the University Library -see links below

Acland's Video Atlas of the Human Body
3D rotational gross anatomy videos featuring real cadaver specimens. The specimens have not been embalmed and therefore retain the colour, tture, and mobility of the living body. Videos are narrated, have closed captioning available and downloadable transcripts.
