LIBRARY LOCATIONS AND HOURS

You are welcome to use any of the 6 libraries on campus:
Robertson Library

  • Central Library (Commerce and Humanities)
  • Hocken Collections (New Zealand)
  • Law Library
  • Health Sciences Library
  • Robertson Library (Education)
  • Science Library
The libraries are located across the campus.

The open hours vary slightly between each library.

RESERVE

Reserve Collections provide access to high demand items for your paper, such as textbooks and DVDs. Every Library has its own Reserve Collection.  Items in the Reserve Collection are issued for 2-3 hours at a time.

To search for items on Course Reserve:

  1. Click Reserve item search (this link is on the Library homepage under Library Search | Ketu - look for Reserve)
  2. Enter your course code
  3. Click Search

If the item on Reserve for your course is in:

Hardcopy format (e.g. a book), click 'Available in the Library' to see which Library holds it and what its call number is (call number = the code on the spine of the book that is used to locate it on the shelf).

In both the Central Library and Science Library, the Reserve Collection is located on the ground floor.

If your lecturer is using eReserve, you will also find electronic copies of readings (e.g. book chapters and journal articles) in Blackboard.
