Researcher Identifiers, Profiles, and Networks
Funders and publishers increasingly require author identifiers, such as ORCID iDs. These come with profiles that can be edited to varying degrees, a well maintained profile can boost your visibility, credibility, and collaboration.

Need more help with your online profiles? Contact your librarian at your campus library.
Please note, we can assist you with researcher IDs and profiles such as ORCID, Scopus Author ID, Web of Science ResearcherID, and Google Scholar Profiles. However the library does not support the setting up or maintenance of academic network or social media accounts; this is the responsibility of the individual staff member or student.
The University of Otago Social Media Policy covers the setting up and use of social media accounts by staff in the course of their employment.
