The GeoNet project was established in 2001 to build and operate a modern geological hazard monitoring system in New Zealand. ArchSite is an online database that contains information about recorded archaeological sites in New Zealand. ArchSite uses GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to manage and display information on maps. It is the national database of archaeological sites in New Zealand. The information is used for research, site management and protection.

S-map is a digital soil map for Aotearoa New Zealand. S-map’s goal is to provide precise and accurate soil information to support sustainable management of our soil resource. S-map displays basic soil property data like depth, stoniness, and clay content, as well as more complex data like water holding capacity and nitrogen leaching risk.

We provide free online access to New Zealand’s most up-to-date land and seabed data.

NZ Topo Map is an interactive topographic map of New Zealand using the official LINZ's 1:50,000 / Topo50 and 1:250,000 / Topo250 maps.

OpenTopography facilitates community access to high-resolution, Earth science-oriented, topography data, and related tools and resources. The OpenTopography Facility is based at the San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California, San Diego and is operated in collaboration with colleagues in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University and at UNAVCO.

The goal of GeoPandas is to make working with geospatial data in python easier. It combines the capabilities of pandas and shapely, providing geospatial operations in pandas and a high-level interface to multiple geometries to shapely. GeoPandas enables you to easily do operations in python that would otherwise require a spatial database such as PostGIS.

Koordinates is a geospatial data management platform inspired by cracking GIS data out of vendor silos. You can host, manage, share, publish, access, and build apps, alongside tens of thousands of others.

Gapminder identifies systematic misconceptions about important global trends and proportions and uses reliable data to develop easy to understand teaching materials to rid people of their misconceptions.
