Renewals and Other Account Functionality

Most items will be renewed automatically up to the maximum borrowing period for your user category. There are some exceptions (e.g. recalled material, 3-day loans, and AV items). You can renew items manually when you are signed in to Ketu.

  1. Once you are signed in, go to My Library Account by clicking on the library card icon at the top right corner of the screen.

    This will take you to your account dashboard where you can:
    • Check your loans
    • View the status of any requests you may have made
    • Find out whether you have any fines (which you can also pay online if you want)

  2. From the loans section you have the option to renew all loans.

  3. You can view your loans history by click on Historic Loans.

  4. You can view your loans history by clicking on Active loans and changing to Historic loans.
  • If an item cannot be renewed, it may need to be returned. If you are unsure, contact the library on 04 385 5914 or library.uow@otago.ac.nz
