Request Items in Ketu

Request items in Ketu

You can request items from any of the library’s branches for pick up at the Wellington Medical and Health Sciences Library.

You can also choose to:

  • Have an item sent to you at your workplace or to the Wellington Medical and Health Sciences Library for you to pick up
  • Have an item sent to you after it is returned (place a reserve)
  • Have an item put aside for you to pick up from the library
  • Request a scan of a chapter or article

Items include books, theses, journal issues, journal volumes, and more.

  • Some items are not available for use outside of their home library. Look out for this information in the catalogue record.

When you are signed in, you can choose:

  • Request — Have the item sent to your workplace or the Wellington Medical and Health Sciences Library for pickup
  • Scan Request — Have a chapter or article scanned and sent to you (subject to copyright)

  1. If you are not signed in, just click Sign in in the yellow bar, selecting the relevant sign-in option.

  2. Choose Wellington Medical Library in the Pickup Location drop-down menu to have an item put aside for you to pick up from the library.
    If you are a Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast staff member, we can send items to you at your department. If you are a distance student, we can send items to you at home. For either of these options, add a note in the Comment box to let us know where you would like the item to be sent.

    You will receive an email notification when your item is ready to collect. If your item is being sent to you, you can ignore this notification. If you have any queries, feel free to reply to the email.
  3. If an item is not available, it will be sent to you or put aside for you as soon as it becomes available.
  4. Click Request.

  2. Enter the article or chapter details and click Request.
