Religion: Books

Many books for Religion begin with the call numbers BI to BX and are shelved on the first floor of the Central Library.  Many more books with related and/or specific topics can be found throughout the Library's collections.  Find them by searching Library Search | Ketu and/or check out the recommended books below.

Distance Students find out more about having books mailed directly to you via the Home Delivery Service.

Reference books are great places to start when learning about a new topic or creating a search strategy. The titles below are recommended, but not inclusive.

An RSS feed of new books just added to the University of Otago Library collections.

If you need a book that is not available here at Otago, you can borrow it from another library via Interloan:

  • All loans from NZ and Australia are FREE.

  • Overseas loans (not available in NZ or Australia) are $25. This can be charged to a department, research grant or paid for personally. We will check with you first before sourcing an overseas item.
