Research Services Unit: Research Data Management

Service information

Service aim: Helping researchers and postgraduate students make sense of the complexity around data storage, description, re-use and archiving; promoting the use of the Data Management Planning tool. More information: https://rsunit.github.io/Research-Data-Management/

Outcome: The RSU is available to provide advice on defining and implementing your research data management (RDM) strategy. The RSU can run advocacy and awareness raising programmes in your department or unit, training on creating Research Data Management plans, and support the publishing of data. The RSU also offers RDM workshops and produces RDM learning materials for postgraduate students.

Researcher comments: "They [students] found the talk engaging and delivered well… I personally really enjoyed it and now have some ideas about where I could start getting the lab more onto best practices” —feedback from Murray Cadzow, Teaching Fellow, Postdoctoral Fellow, Biochemistry.
