Project aim: To develop an online Data Management Planning tool (DMPt) which is responsive to the New Zealand research environment and which can be integrated with other Otago systems.
Project status: Phase 1 (DMPt as a stand-alone tool) now completed; Phase 2 (integration with other systems) still in process
Outcome: An Otago DMPt has been developed in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainability. This online tool enables researchers to store information (metadata) about their research project(s) and associated datasets in one place.
Researcher comments: “It was a pleasure as always to work with the library staff, and we really appreciate your commitment to improving systems in support of research” (Associate Professor Janet Stephenson, Director, Centre for Sustainability).
